On 24 May, The Barnet Group’s contractor colleagues from Lift Specialist, Quinn London, R Bensons, Tetra, Re-Gen and WG Wigginton downed tools for golf clubs, to sponsor Young Barnet Foundation’s first charity golf day.
Hosted by ex-professional footballer Guiliano Grazilio, our contractors spent the day at Shire Golf Club completing 18 holes and finding out more about the work of the charity and the valuable work that is needed to support children and young people in Barnet.
Janet Matthewson, CEO of Young Barnet Foundation said, “It is important for us to continue to raise funds to meet the needs of our children and young people. So far we have distributed over £1.7m in funding, equating to nearly 5 million hours of activities and support for our most disadvantaged children and young people in Barnet.
Events like the Golf Day enables us to be the difference in the lives of children and young people in need of support. We cannot do this without support. Remember it really does take a village to raise a child, or in our case a borough.”
We would like to thank our contractors for their continued commitment in supporting the Barnet voluntary sector.
