On 30th January 2024, we celebrated our annual Community Awards event at the Sangham Centre in Edgware. This year, we filled the hall with over 150 guests, which goes to show how much it has grown from strength to strength and continues to shine a light on the positive work of residents and communities in the borough.

We’d like to thank our contractors for their continued support. This event would not be possible without their generous contributions. Click here to see the highlights from the night.
Preparations are already underway for next year! So now is the time to get your nominations in for the 2025 awards! The categories are:
- Good Neighbour – A neighbour that goes the extra mile in helping others or improving their local community
- Community Group/Resident Association – Encourages you to get involved, dazzles you with their activities, fun days, community events or advocates on your behalf or the community
- Voluntary Group or Registered Charity – Deserving of an award for their contribution to local people across Barnet
- Volunteer over 25 – Someone who selflessly gives up their time to help other people or their community.
- Volunteer under 25 – Someone who selflessly gives up their time to help other people or their community.
- Community Project – An innovative and outcome-focused community project delivered during 2023 by a local community group or charity
In 2024 we want to recognise and truly thank our Barnet Homes and Opendoor Homes residents that have gone above and beyond in supporting their fellow neighbours across our communities.
We also want to take the time to recognise the hard work and investment of local community groups, and the voluntary/charity sector in supporting the most vulnerable in Barnet.
Now is the time to nominate them for a prestigious community award. Feel free to submit as many nominations as you wish.
*Please note: The closing date for nominations is Friday 06 January 2025*
